시원하게 우려낸 우롱차를 마시며 바느질을 하던 중, 은은한 흙냄새를 느꼈습니다. 호기심에 담가보았던 원단에도 그 향과 다르지 않은 색이 배어들었습니다. 평평한 오르막과 내리막이 끝없이 이어지던 평원의 흙길. 광활한 길 위에 감도는 평온함은 때로 공허함이 되어 앞을 가로막기도 합니다. 이내 생각을 멈추고 부지런히 몸을 움직입니다. 앞선 바느질 자국을 따라 조금씩 겹치며 쌓아갑니다.

While sewing and drinking a cup of freshly brewed oolong tea, I noticed a subtle earthy scent. Out of curiosity, I soaked a piece of fabric in the tea, and it absorbed a color that carried the same quiet warmth as the scent. A dirt path across a vast plain, where gentle slopes and declines continued endlessly. The sense of calm that surrounded the open landscape sometimes turned into emptiness, standing in the way ahead. Soon, I stopped thinking and simply kept moving my body. Following the previous stitches, I slowly layered one mark over another.
